As Regional Vice-President and Managing Director, Dominique Vidal, oversees all aspects of Yahoo!’s operations in 12 European countries.
In his previous role as Group Managing Director for Kelkoo, Dominique was instrumental in growing Kelkoo’s market share and extending the business into 10 European territories in less than five years.
Since 2000, his major responsibilities have included raising capital at Kelkoo, M&As and forging shopping channel partnerships with major internet players like MSN in Europe. Kelkoo has established itself as the preferred shopping search for one out of ten European Internet users with an index of more than 10 million product offers and thousands of European merchants. Kelkoo was acquired by Yahoo! Inc in March 2004.
Before joining Kelkoo in 2000, Dominique was a Partner in charge of the IT and Telecoms sectors at venture capitalist firm, Banexi Ventures. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years at Schlumberger in Marketing and Business Development roles in France and the USA, with a specific focus on mergers and acquisitions.
Dominique graduated with an engineering degree from Supelec in 1988.
