Gerry is Director of Product Management at BSkyB, supporting the strategic planning and commercial management of customer product and service propositions including HDTV and Sky+ (Sky's PVR offering). Until recently he was Operations and Design Director for Sky Interactive, managing a team responsible for designing and building interactivity on the digital satellite platform.
Starting with a career with BBC news and current affairs in London, he directed all the main BBC news programmes and launched BBC World Service TV. After 11 years at the BBC, Gerry launched Australia's first 24-hour news channel as Head of Production. In 1993 he then moved to New York where he was responsible for the launch of the New York broadcast channel WBIS+ as Director of Operations and Engineering. In 1997 he then joined Fox News Channel as Vice President of Operations and Engineering managing a team of over 200 staff, before returning to the UK after eight years to join BSkyB.
