Roland Montagne is Head of Broadband Practice at IDATE. Mr Montagne
played a leading role in previous IDATE International studies focused
on the economy of Broadband. He is also Project Manager for the
IDATE annual market report concerning the World Broadband market
(DSL, Cable, FTTH, BFWA). He has carried out several studies dealing
with European Broadband roll out: he is in charge actually of a
survey on Broadband Access for the DGInfSo (eEurope action plan)
and also the IDATE representative in FP6 Integrated Project BROADWAN.
Roland Montagne is also in charge of a study carried out in 2005
for the French Government about scenarios of development for very
high broadband technologies.
Roland Montagne is a Telecommunications Engineer (ENST Paris) and
joined IDATE in 1998.
Previously he has worked for AT&T Bell laboratories (USA) and
France Telecom R&D as an engineer on DWDM optical networks and
ATM technologies.
