Frank E. Dangeard - Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thomson
Frank E. Dangeard was appointed Chairman & CEO of Thomson in September 2004.
From September 2002 to September 2004, he was Senior Executive Vice President of France Telecom, and nonexecutive Chairman of Thomson.
Mr. Dangeard joined Thomson in April 1997 as Senior Executive Vice President and was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors in July 2001. From September 1989 to April 1997, he was Managing Director of SG Warburg & Co. Ltd (later SBC Warburg) and from 1995, he was also Chairman of the Board of SBC Warburg (France). From September 1986 to June 1989, he was a lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and London.
Mr. Dangeard is a board member of the French Electricity Company "Electricite de France" (EDF), of the mobile telecom operator Orange (France Telecom), of the investment bank Calyon (Credit Agricole) and of Eutelsat. He graduated from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, the Paris Institut d’Etudes Politiques and from Harvard Law School. He is a member of the New York Bar.
