Ben is a member of Broadview International’s Software, Services & Media global practice group. He has 17 years of experience in M&A, specializing in the e-media and software sectors. Ben has advised on more than 60 transactions, including so far in 2004, Kelkoo's €475 million sale to Yahoo!, Lavalife's C$152 million sale to Memberworks, Iris Software's £102 million recapitalisation with HgCapital, OD2's $56 million sale to Loudeye, and LIS's sale to Red Prairie. In addition, Ben has advised on transactions involving groups such as InterActiveCorp, Vivendi, News Corp, Canal+, Microsoft, Liberty Media, E*trade, Getty Images, Daily Mail & General Trust, Thomson, T-Online, Lagardere, Wolters Kluwer, BT Group, EDS and CNET. Prior to joining Broadview International in 1993, Ben was a vice president in the New York-based media investment banking group of Henry Ansbacher and worked on his first internet transaction in 1991. Ben is a qualified Barrister and holds a LLB Business Law degree.
