Vice President,
Wireless Equipment
Peter Richardson is an independent mobile
and wireless industry analyst. Until October
2004 he was a Vice President and Equity
Research Analyst with the US-based investment
bank SoundView Technology Group, where his
team was ranked in the top 10 in the most
recent Institutional Investor poll. Prior
to joining SoundView Mr. Richardson was
a Vice President and Chief Analyst at Gartner
where he lead the mobile and wireless research
team for Gartner’s Dataquest telecommunications
group. Before joining Gartner, he was involved
with the development and marketing of mobile
handsets. From 1990 to 1995 he worked for
Panasonic, in both European and country-level
roles. He then joined NEC to product manage
the launch of the company’s first
GSM telephones. From 1993 to 1995 Mr. Richardson
also served as Chairman of the Cellular
Manufacturer’s Group at the UK trade
body, the Federation of Communication Services.
Peter is a member of the Chartered Institute
of Marketing. |
