With a staff of more than 60, IDATE is one of Europe’s leading providers of economic analysis and strategic consulting for the telecoms, Internet and media sectors.
To sustain our ongoing development, we are looking for a junior consultant for our Internet Business Unit.
Reporting to a Project Manager, you will contribute to the production of market reports and to assignments carried out on behalf of public authorities and private sector companies, which will involve documentary research, benchmarking, drafting monographs, attending conferences and performing interviews with industry figures.
Profil
You are have a degree in telecoms or multimedia studies, and a solid knowledge of Internet and Web technologies.
Previous working experience with a telecom carrier or Internet company would be a definite asset, as would knowledge of marketing and a background in engineering or a business school education.
The ideal candidate is looking for quick advancement in a fascinating profession and a demanding environment.
The position requires perfect fluency in both French and English, good writing skills and could involve short business trips, particularly within Europe.

Description
The Development & Local Authorities Unit is seeking to strengthen its team in the market for advising local authorities.
We are looking for an experienced senior consultant specialized in smart cities to:
- Conduct consulting assignments and studies for local authorities and all players involved in the territories in France and abroad: telecom operators, public utilities, economic development agencies, etc.
- Contribute his or her experience and knowledge base to the theme of the smart digital city, particularly in the field of information systems and associated services;
- Enhance technology and economic watch and uses in regard to the evolution of the building blocks of the smart digital city: dedicated information systems, applications linked to services, organization and governance schemes, etc.
- Develop a client portfolio and turnover directly linked to the above areas and actively participate in strengthening recognition of IDATE in consulting assignments on behalf of territorial players.
Profil
After training as an engineer, you have acquired a minimum of 5 years' significant experience in the field of smart city digital services and you master the issues of city information systems, in particular.
You have strong analytical and consulting skills, confirmed references in the digital development of territories and you are highly motivated to develop high-level sectoral expertise in the framework of a team working on the various components related to advising local authorities.
This position requires a perfect command of French and English and involves frequent travel in France and abroad. Remuneration is negotiable depending on potential and experience.
